Making brunch!
Tadaa!Β The apple baked ham was really good, it was on offer. $1.75 for 100g.
Also made a huge pancake because I was sick of frying the pancakes one by one. Put some oranges over so it could be a dessert but we were too full by then. Mission fail.

First time tried the Michelin rated soy sauce chicken at Hawker Chan. The chicken and very tender and juicy! Maybe can buy the whole chicken back home to share.

We had spam fries. The texture doesn’t feel like normal spam though, it’s good.
Grilled mangalitsa belly was very very good. Noms!
Seafood gochujang risotto. It’s cheesy, I can’t take it in huge spoonfuls if not the smell very kill me. Lol. But it’s pretty good, just not amazing.

Ooooh. I thought I would never get hooked by these characters. Hello Kitty was a big no-no (too common), the rest were cute but “oh well, just another”. Sentimental Circus is very much different from the rest.
Fabulous Anniversary.
Today marks the day of our first anniversary! Yeah! We haven got anything planned, something else just happened suddenly a few days ago and thus we don’t have to plan anything at all.
Boyfriend rings me while he was still working, you have to know we hardly talk on the phone.
Me: Hello. Yes?
Bf: Do you want to go to Taiwan?
Me: Huh?
Bf: Do you want to go to Taiwan?
Me: Huh? I don’t have the money.
Bf: I won tickets to Taiwan.
Me: Really?! Yeah!!!!!! (I practically just went crazy.)
Yup, he entered the Taiwan 100 logo design and won first prize! Aww~ My boyfriend is the best. β€
So we had to attend the prize award ceremony which is on our anniversary at Shangri-La Hotel, food and drinks provided.
That is his winning entry.
Though we think there are other entries which are good too. Well, we have no idea what was the winning criteria.

The braised meat rice is super good but the queue was super long. There’s xiao long bao too but it’s already in my famished tummy.
And yes, I’ve got my desserts!
That’s the birthday cake and I have to say that it is strangely yummy. It’s chocolatey, moist, chewy and a little sticky at the same time. It’s just difficult to describe but I would love to have it again.
